MMA coach Hooft, who has split from the Blackzilians team, discussed his new coaching ventures, as well as the future of former UFC champion Rashad Evans. UFC welterweight Usman, who was born and raised in Nigeria, said he has the entire continent of Africa as his fan base and called for fights against the likes of Dong Hyun Kim and Neil Magny. Las Vegas-based Yahoo! Sports reporter Iole, a longtime boxing and MMA reporter and member of the writers wing of the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame, co-hosted the show in the studio.

Del Rio, the president of Combate Americas, talked about the direction of the promotion and his expectations for 2017. Swanson discussed his main event fight vs. Gustavo Lopez. Bellator light heavyweight Lawal has no regrets over fighting in two different continents within 10 days vs. fighters above his weight class, a feat he accomplished in December. Team Alpha Male coach Buchholz was the lead corner for Cody Garbrandt in his bantamweight title fight against champion Dominick Cruz in the UFC 207 co-main event. Garbrandt upset Cruz to win the title by unanimous decision.

Chandler, the Bellator lightweight champion, co-hosted the episode and helped the hosts cover the latest news and give final predictions for UFC 207. Chandler laid out his plans for 2017, when he hopes to fight a minimum of three times. Andrade, though disappointed she is not fighting at UFC 207, was in good spirits and predicted she will fight for a title around Summer 2017. Means fights at UFC 207 vs. Alex Oliveira. Squid took on listeners Rumundo from Chattanooga, Tenn., and Hugo from Tustin, Calif., in the weekly Beat the Squid football picks contest.

Faber bested Brad Pickett in what he announced was his retirement bout. Lawal defeated Satoshi Ishii and next fights Mirko Filipovic in the Rizin FF Grand Prix on Dec. 29.
